The Technology of Motor Casing for PC Radiator Fan Made a Breakthrough

With the coming of the era of a scientific development web, the computer has become the required equipment for modern people to work and live. The execution speed of the central processing unit (CPU) of the computer is a key for the users to select the computers; however, the rise of the execution speed of the components like the CPU, printer, or chip, etc. easily causes the temperature to overheat or to burn the CPU or chip, etc. To effectively lower the working temperature of the CPU, generally, it is required to pre-set the radiator fan on the CPU to effectively radiate heat.

The motor casing is an important part on the rotary motor. Because the computer fan requests large wind flow rate and effective heat radiation, the fan motor shall have very high rotational speed. As for the motor with high rotational speed, to prevent the vibration noise caused by insufficient accuracy of motor casing, concentricity, beating degree, and eccentricity of the motor casing shall be strictly designed.

Currently, as for the motor casing for PC radiator fans, to ensure the concentricity of the central axis of the motor casing, it is required to rivet a copper sheathing on the central axis. Upon processing and production, it is required to rivet the central axis into the copper sheathing and then rivet the copper sheathing and motor casing. The defects of such process are: 1. the structure is made after two rivets, thus wasting labor, materials, finance and time; 2. the price of the copper sheathings used for riveting is high, amounting to RMB0.5-2.00, thus greatly increasing the costs of the motor casing. The two-piece riveting method we adopt is directly connected to the central axis on the inside flanged edge of the housing of the motor casing, and it is unnecessary to rivet the copper sheathing at the central area of the housing of the motor casing, thus greatly saving labor, materials, finance and time. This kind of motor casing for the radiator fan, including the housing of the motor casing, a central axis is set up at the central part of the motor casing, and it features the said central axis being connected on the inside or outside flanged edge projected out on the central part of the housing of the motor casing.

After two-years of research with great concentration, our Company made a great breakthrough in respect of the manufacturing technology of the motor casing (focusing on change of the diameter, beating degree, and concentricity of the motor casing, thus making a breakthrough in the motor casing for PC radiator fan). Sankyo Precision was therefore granted the patent of a new and practical pattern. The new and practical pattern design relates to the radiator fan technology field, specifically including the improvement of the motor casing structure of the PC radiator fan. Such kind of motor casing for PC radiator fans includes the central axis set on the housing of the motor casing, and said central axis is directly riveted on the inside or outside flanged edge of the central part of the housing of the motor casing. The motor casing for PC radiator fans we design are directly riveted to the inside or outside flanged edge of the motor casing to the central axis, thus not only effectively reducing the riveting time, but also avoiding using a bushing, greatly saving the processing fees and raw materials for production of the motor casing, lowering the production costs and saving energy consumption. This lowered our clients’ costs amounting to USD30,000,000 every year and was thought of highly by them. It realized a great leap in the technology of motor casing for PC radiator fans.
